Updating Your Website Content

Update the text, team, icons, photos, and announcement visitors see on your website.

Update the information visitors see on your website. You need Edit website content access and must open the page in the website editor first.

Edit text on the page

1

Select the text

Point to editable text and select it when the pencil appears. Type your change in place. Press Enter for a single-line field, or select elsewhere on the page to finish.

Tip

Press Escape while a text field is active to restore the value it had before you started editing it.

Update your team

2

Edit or add a person

In a team section, select a person's name or role to edit it. Use the bio field for the longer description shown in the person's detail window. Select the photo to change it, or select Add person to create another card.
3

Reorder or remove a person

Drag a person by the handle to change the order. To remove a card, point to it, select the ×, then select Yes in the Remove? prompt.

Note

Website team cards are separate from people and roles in your church directory. Changing a card does not change anyone's account or access.

Change an icon or photo

When a layout shows editable icons, select an icon to open its picker and choose a replacement. To replace a large website image, select Change Photo or Add Photo, choose one image, and select Done. See Managing Your Photo Gallery for uploading, reusing, and cropping photos.

Add an announcement

4

Open the announcement editor

On the home page, open More and select Announcement bar. You can also select Edit on an announcement already shown beneath the toolbar.
5

Write the announcement

Turn on Show Announcement, enter a short Message, and choose the required Auto-Expire date and time. Close the window when the message is ready.
Every announcement needs a message and an Auto-Expire date.
6

Save and publish

Select Save draft to keep all page changes private, or select Publish and confirm to show them to visitors. To take an announcement down early, turn off Show Announcement and publish again.

Check the result

After saving, the toolbar reads Saved. After publishing, select Done and check the changed page as a visitor. An announcement appears at the top of the site until its expiry time.

If content does not change here

Some website sections are connected to Hubl records, including upcoming events and service times. Update the source record instead of typing over the displayed value. See Where Website Content Comes From. If your edits still are not visible to visitors, follow My Website Changes Are Not Showing.
